Adventures in the Blogging Trade. Part 2- Niches Unlimited

OK, here we are, niche-less on Wednesday and the deadline is coming at an alarming speed. So now what do I do?

I checked Buy-It-Now-Books for some ideas and this is what I found.

Business & Economics – 13,671 entries.  Health & Fitness – 4,551 entries.  House & Home – 1,112 entries.  Self Help – 3,174 entries.  Pets – 2,067 entries.  Education – 6,753 entries.

You get the picture, it’s already been written about.  Surely there must be a gap somewhere for a poor blogger like me. Here’s one.  Other Items – 82,909 entries. Aaarrrgh!

How about Study Aids – 1,278  entries.  Lots of room there wouldn’t you say?

Reference – 2,295 entries. I like this one.

Drama – 1,702 entries. That’s what I am doing right here.

You have heard the expression – When you are in a hole, stop digging?

Well, I am in a hole and I am digging as fast as I can.

  1. Hi Brian,

I know what you mean! Anyway just thought I’d ask if you have tried the ‘niche within a niche’ approach? Pick your subject and see what area has not been covered or an area within it that you can expand on effectively. So much has been covered I think we just have to look for a different approach within the topic.

    Enjoy the journey.

  2. Hi Mandy,
Thanks for the encouragement. I know that we have now reached the heart of the course and having your own ebook is essential if not critical to success. Perhaps we can’t find the perfect niche and will have to start putting books out there and see how it goes. Run it up the flagpole and see who salutes it approach. I think that is where I am right now. Great course though. Loving every minute.
    Regards, Brian.
