Is the constant barrage of opt-ins that we are faced with everyday a good thing or a bad thing? Is it just a nuisance or a source of information?
I submit that it is a very good thing because of the accepted style of selling on the net these days is to give out free information (freebies) in return for your email which can then be used to inform you of the latest products for sale. This is almost always good to very high quality information. It is like a Free University of Internet Marketing.
You don’t have to buy anything at all, but if you are like me you will buy stuff from time to time and it is invariably of good quality. This is the way that it is done and it is working beautifully. The old time travelling evangalists used to call it ” getting them into the tent.” Come inside, lollipops for the kids.
This is what we are all trying to do with varying degrees of success. Or failure.
So, that should be our aim. Get them into the tent (email address) and then you can present your message. Sort of like this.

Using the sun and the wind to cook and create power is a very old technology. We have all heard of frying an egg on a rock. or starting a fire through magnifying the sun’s rays. Just little tricks without any practical uses?
How about windmills? As old as man himself. Windmills have been used and still are for grinding grain and pumping water out of the ground all over the world. Cute you say, but nothing to do with us.
Do you know that you can create solar power and create wind power in your home with equipment that does the job and doesn’t look “gadgety?”
You can use solar power to light your home through solar cell that are charged with energy during the sunlight hours and stored for your later use. Have you seen those solar panels above the road signs on freeways that gather enough energy to power the light above the sign all night?
Solar power is not a gimmick or a party trick anymore. It is a highly developed and sophisicated technology now.
There are several companies specialising in practical solutions to supplying your own wind and solar power thereby saving you much needed money and with a return on your investment in 3 to 4 years.
Check this one out.

Total Web Traffic – Don’t Run Before You Can Walk!
It’s great to finally see that somebody has thought of the little guys when creating a product.
Dave Nicholson has just released an excellent new product called ‘Total Web Traffic’ and it really does offer what is needed for the everyday user.
Total Web Traffic is a great traffic course with loads of high quality videos that show you exactly where to get started.
All the information is seperated into handy modules.
There are even interviews with some massive marketers who explain their own methods that they use to gain targeted traffic to their web sites
I would really recommend this for anybody, either starting out or even fully established.

As in most industries and businesses, there is a language that you have to learn to understand what is going on. The Blogging biz is no different with it’s own ways of describing various aspects and providing a kind of shorthand understandable to the cognoscenti.
Continuity is one of these words. It is what every Internet Marketer would love to have. It means that your customers pay you on a usually monthly basis for a newsletter that you send detailing your words of wisdom and also slipping in another offer to buy something from them that you just must have. The price of these vary all over the place, sometimes $197.00 per month and upward for the real stars of the business and down to $10.00 per month from the lesser mortals. Whatever it is, it provides a very nice income for those able to persuade their customers to subscribe. Sometimes getting out of these subscriptions is a lot easier than getting in. Let the buyer beware on this one.
Opy-in Box. This is box placed in a handy spot inviting the visitor to “opt-in” to get the latest updates and offers available from the particular blogger that you have visited. These offer are usually accompanied with a “freebie,” no explanation required. This is actually a very smart thing to do and the best marketers give away lots of “freebies” and almost always provide good value for money. A good way to learn the business. Tons of free stuff available here.
OTO or one time offer. A ploy to get the customer to buy now, without delay and a very powerful tool for the Internet Marketer.
Autoreponder. A program set up to automatically respond to your filling in the Opt-in box with a series of emails.
SEO. Search Engine Optimization. This refers to a series of settings that will bring your blog to the attention of the Search Engines and hopefully will bring you to the front when anyone is looking for a particular product or service. This is very sophisticated and has developed into an industry of its own.
Their are many more insider words or phrases and they take some time to learn, but they are well worth the study.

Some years ago, Al Davis of the Oakland Raiders had a slogan for the club, ” Just win, Baby.” It meant dont make excuses, don’t tell me how hard it is. Don’t tell me why it can’t be done. Just win, Baby.
I am reminded of that with our task of writing an ebook for the Masterclass. It is tough to find something new. It is tough to set out the chapters and it is tough to write the book. But you know what? When everything has been said and with all the amazing help and advice we are getting, don’t make excuses. Just do it, Baby.
